after the storm

I'm trying to let myself relax
she's at her families for the holiday
I'm at home/work
getting things done
prepping for my trip
to see her
in a week
and one day

we've been through so many
huge things
in a small amount of time

I love the way
we get along
and stay with each other
rather than disappearing

I feel safe

safe to take chances
safe to make a mess
safe to be me
to Love
and to be Loved
